1.The short version
Your portfolio lives on your phone
Every order, trade, position, holding and rupee of practice money is stored on your device. It is not sent to us unless you turn on Axpertz Leaders, and it is not sent anywhere else unless you turn on Drive backup — which goes to your own Google Drive, not to us.
- No real money is traded and no real order is ever placed anywhere.
- Signing in with Google is optional.
- Drive backup and Axpertz Leaders are both off until you switch them on.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and a video ad only when you choose to watch one for practice funds.
- Anonymous usage counts and crash reports help us fix the app; they carry no name, email or portfolio.
- Practice funds bought in the Google Play version are paid for through Google Play.
2.What stays on your phone
The following is kept in the app’s own private storage on your device. Uninstalling the app, or using Reset account in the Funds tab, deletes it.
- Your orders, trades, positions, holdings and the cash ledger with every credit and charge.
- Watchlists, price alerts and GTT orders.
- Your settings, and a mobile number if you choose to add one.
- Contract notes, statements and exports you generate.
3.Signing in with Google
Signing in is optional. If you sign in, Google and our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication, give the app your name, email address, profile photo and a user id. We use them to show your profile, to connect Drive backup to your own Google account, and — only if you turn on Axpertz Leaders — to know which Leaders profile is yours. Your portfolio is not attached to this account on any server of ours.
4.Drive backup
If you turn on backup, the app saves one file, axpertz-trader-backup.db, into a folder called “AXPERTZ TRADER” in your own Google Drive, and writes over it each night. It asks for Google’s narrowest Drive permission, which lets it see only the files it created — never the rest of your Drive. The backup goes from your phone to your Drive; it never passes through us and we cannot read it. You can delete the file in Drive, turn backup off in the app, or remove the app’s access in your Google Account settings at any time.
5.Axpertz Leaders
Leaders is an optional ranking of practice traders. It is off until you turn it on. While it is on, the app sends our server the following, so your record can be ranked and, if you choose to be listed, shown to other users:
- The display name you choose and, if you add one, a photo.
- Whether your profile is listed publicly.
- Your closed trades, the practice funds added to the account, your open positions and your account value.
- Any trade you choose to publish as a call, with its entry, exit, target and stop.
Turning Leaders off stops the uploads. To have what was already sent deleted, write to us from the email you signed in with.
6.Ads
The app shows banner and in-feed ads, and a video ad only when you choose to watch one in exchange for practice funds. All of them are served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure them and to prevent fraud, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share with Google your device’s advertising ID, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, information about your device, and how you interacted with the ad. Axpertz receives only aggregate figures. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
7.Usage counts and crash reports
To see which parts of the app are used and what breaks, the app sends our own analytics service, Axpertz Pulse (run on Cloudflare), a random install id made by the app, the app version, platform and language, which screens were opened and for how long, the order screens were visited in, named actions such as “order placed”, and error reports with the error type and the line of code where it happened — with email addresses and long numbers removed. It never sends your name, email, phone number, portfolio or anything you typed. Feedback you choose to write in the app is sent with the same random id so we can reply.
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives a crash report: the error and stack trace, the app version, device model and operating-system version, and a random installation id. We use it only to fix crashes.
To measure our Google Ads campaigns, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records that the app was installed and opened, and one event when you place your first practice order — never the amount, the share or anything you typed. Google receives with these an app-instance id, your advertising ID (unless you have deleted it or limited ad tracking), device and operating-system details, and an approximate location from your IP address, and uses them to tell us how many installs and first trades came from each ad. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
8.Buying practice funds
In the version of the app installed from Google Play, practice funds are bought through Google Play. Google takes the payment; the app receives only a confirmation that it went through, which it uses to add the funds. We never see your card, UPI or bank details. Practice funds have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
In the version downloaded directly from axpertz.in, payment happens on our payment page instead. That page receives the amount, a random id the app made for itself, and your mobile number if you added one, so the payment provider can fill in the contact step.
9.Prices
Your phone fetches market prices itself from public sources: Yahoo Finance, and when that does not answer, CNBC, NSE, Moneycontrol, Wise, Nasdaq and TradingView, plus the public Angel One instrument list. Those requests name the instruments you are looking at; they carry nothing about you. If you choose to connect your own Angel One account for live prices, you sign in on Angel One’s own page and the session stays on your device.
10.Children
Axpertz Trader is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11.Deleting your data
- On your phone: Reset account in the Funds tab, or uninstall the app.
- Drive backup: delete the “AXPERTZ TRADER” folder in your Drive, or remove the app’s access in your Google Account.
- Usage counts and crash reports: they carry only a random id; uninstalling the app ends them, and you can email us to have past ones deleted.
- Sign-in account and anything sent to Leaders: email axpertzpro@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete them.
12.Not a broker, not advice
Axpertz Trader is not a broker, is not registered with SEBI as an intermediary or adviser, and offers no investment advice. It is a place to practise.
13.Changes to this policy
If the app starts collecting something new or talking to a service not described here, this page will be updated before that version reaches you.
